   My card is made using Petite Q from Tiddly Inks.  I made it for a sweet little friend who is turning 7 on Thursday… 

 
I love how it turned out, but does it need to have something up in that “white space” in the top right??  Even when scrapbooking I’m not a good “white space” person…  LOL!  It was going to be an easel card, but at the last minute I changed my mind…

I just love how the coloring turned out!  I made sure to keep all 3 colors in all the hair so it looked SUPER shiny!  For the border around Petite Q, I used my large petite scalloped oval die and used the same copics as on the dress to edge it.  I added a few more pieces of hair to Petite Q’s head so it looked a little fuller…  This whole piece has been spritzzed (is that a word?) with Tsukineko “Frost” Glitter Spritz.  I love how it makes it look all sparkly!

I was so happy when I looked in my stash and found this charm…  I simply attached it using a clip to the ribbon running across the card and added a matching bow made with my bow maker.

   I decided to try PTI paper for coloring with my Copics…  Let me just say I LOVE IT!!!  It’s so much easier to blend and it doesn’t bleed out past the stamp lines either!  And if it does a little bit, the colorless blender works REALLY well!  I’m so excited!   

Hooray, it’s Tiddly Tuesday!!!

   This weeks challenge is about Bleep bleep boys & their toy robots…  Use robots in your project!  Christy creates some cutie pie robots!!! 

   I am LOVING my card…  Usually I just like my cards, but this one I LOVE!!!  I made this for my little nephew, Jonathan…  His birthday is at the end of this month…  I KNOW!  I’m early!!!  WHEE!!! 

 
Isn’t this little guy cute?!?!  I wanted the card to be a simple design since I wanted the little robot to take the stage.

Can you see the little pink cheeks?  I thought that was cute!  You can’t really tell, but he has yellow spica pens on his lights on his chest

Here you can see how I popped out the balloons 3D.  I even put Crystal Effects on them before cutting them out…  I also popped out the sentiments.

Of course, no card is complete without the inside being finished, so I just had to continue the cute birthday phrase on the inside.

I decided what I haven’t liked about my cards lately is there aren’t enough layers…  So, I went by one of my favorite blogs, Can You Say ADDICTED??  To Stamps!!!, for some inspiration…  I still am not totally happy with it, BUT I think it’s getting better…  ;)  I thought the “Special Delivery” stamp would look cute with this image… 

This image is ADORABLE!!! 

The sentiment is the from the same set as the “Special Delivery” stamp…

   Seems the more I learn about my camera, the worse my photos get.  :P  Thankfully I bought the book Understanding Exposure from B&N the other day…  Ursula Page recommended it to me, so hopefully my photos will start to get better…  :)

I didn’t have any black and purple ribbon that matched the color I was going for, so I colored a black and white ribbon purple using a shade darker than I used for my shirt. 
When I went to get my flowers, I noticed I didn’t have any flowers in the right shade either, so I picked out some white paper ones and colored them with the two colors I used on the shirt.
Easy fixes to a normally baffling problem… 

Of course, as you can tell by my blog, I’m a cat person, so this image was purr-fect for me…  I decided to make her look like she was wearing a costume…  Actually, it’s a lot like the costume I wear every year for Halloween…  Cat ears & a tail…  But, she’s actually wearing gloves that match…  I prefer to think of them as those cat grooming gloves…  I think she turned out cute… 

Of course, no card is complete without the inside being done…

   I’m thinking about sending this card to OWH…  Who knows, some guy may have a goth girlfriend or wife who loves cats…  :P 

  So, now I personally challenge you to do something out of your comfort zone…  If you normally go goth, go cutsie…  If you don’t make a lot of manly cards, make a manly card…  No, there won’t be a prize for this except the knowledge that you’ve done something you normally wouldn’t do…

This week’s challenge over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog is

Bring on the Bling!  
Use glitter, sparkles, rhinestones, or anything
that blings on your project or card!

Here’s my take on the challenge…  In the photos you can’t see all the sparkle…  Even the fabric is WAYY more sparkly IRL… 

I taped a piece of blue sheer shimmery fabric to the edges of a piece of cardstock, but left it puffy in the middle to create depth. 
Then I placed a mat of the same color cardstock over the top of the fabric. 
The fish, starfish, leaves, and mermaid are covered in glitter from Spica pens.

You can see the beautiful pearl she is holding and the matching one in the center of the flower in her hair. 
You can also see the little flower in the bottom left hand corner on the rock.

Hubby found the sentiment for me… :D 

   I don’t know who is going to get this card just yet and it’s a little plain for me so I’d like to add some more texture to it, but I didn’t have any dp that would match and not take away from it…  hmmm…  any ideas???

   I know I said I’d get these up tonight and I meant to earlier, but I’ve been horribly sick (didn’t even think I was going to be able to make it to the school) all day.  So, earlier this evening I took a nap…

   Here are the cards I made for our teachers.  Of course, they’re easel cards as that’s my favorite type to make…  ;)

   A close-up of Mrs. Miller’s card & a photo of her gifts is below.  She was Emily’s teacher.  I don’t think we would’ve come as far as we did without her guidance.  Her theme for the class this year (and next year) has been “jungle”, so all her items are from the DCWV Animal Crackers paper stacks.

I could’ve added their names before printing the image…

For this bow, I used my Bow Easy and Oh, My Gosh!
I think it turned out so nice!!!

I left the space above the lion empty so that Mrs. Miller could
add a photo of her cutie little boy…

   A close-up of Mrs. Woulfe’s card & a photo of her gifts is below.  This was Simon’s teacher.  She was so awesome with Simon and didn’t label him as just a “bad” kid as has happened in both kindergarten and 1st grade…  :(  She totally understood about Simon’s aspergers and phoned me if she was unsure of anything or wanted to clarify.

   My Mother’s Day present was being able to order me some more Copics…  :D  I bought 40 (I think??) more colors and both sets of the Spica Glitter pens…  I can’t wait to play with it all!!!  One order arrived today and the other is due to arrive on Thursday…  The one today had my Spicas in it, a refill for my lightest skin color, the colorless blender refill, 5 Copics (the other store didn’t have these in stock), and an A3 Copic pad…  I figure I can cut the sheets in half and then get two sheets off my printer like this…  Or just use this as my pad for actual stamps…  If you’re looking for a good place for ordering Copics, for this order, I used iCopic…  When you register you get a lower price on the sketch markers…  I paid $4.20 each and they have almost every color in stock.  I know that Oozak is only $4.15 per sketch marker (free shipping at $50 and they carry more than just Copic products), but I found they have a LOT of markers out of stock with Copic’s stock problem right now…  So, I picked up the ones Oozak was out of stock in at iCopic.  Plus, you get free shipping for orders over $75 there.  Since I live in Southern California, I ordered them on Friday morning about 2am and they arrived today…    Anywhoo…  Now all my images won’t be colored with the same colors every week…  I currently only have 53 Copics to make Red, pink, light yellow, dark yellow, orange, peach, green, blue, light turquoise, dark turquoise, purple, violet, fair skin color, gray, and brown…  :P  YEAH!  Variety ROCKS!!!

   This challenge was a tough one for me as I’ve been dealing with allergies, school ending (Friday), and some personal problems…  Then I decided to throw myself a curve ball and make this card for a boy…  Not my strong suit…  So, I’m not totally happy with this card.  I might decide to make a different one this week and post it…  ;)  I like how the coloring turned out on the image & I like the idea for the background, but I’m totally my own worst critic…  First thing I went for was patterned paper…  :P  I actually went through 2 ideas before I ran out of time and ended up making this one…

I have wanted to use this stamp since I first saw it…  It’s so cute!

Because this was going to be a birthday card for my nephew, I kept to the primary colors.  I popped up all the front animals like fellow Tiddly Inker, Larissa, did on her card here…  I love the dimension it gives the image.  Thanks for the idea, Larissa!

You can tell how horrible I’ve felt as I didn’t even decorate the inside of my card…  I’ll be sure to do that this week and put up an image… 

   My first idea was to use a glue pad and put the same color glitter as the cardstock.  Only problem is my MS glue pad wasn’t sticky enough to hold the glitter on.  It just wiped off if you touched it…  :(  Any tips to help with this problem???  THEN I pulled out my acrylic paints and was using the eraser end of a pencil to make polka dots, but I couldn’t get the consistancy of the paint to look like polka dots…  Needless to say, my final idea was to use plain cardstock and make my own patterned paper on the computer using a bit of the image. 

   I do hope this week that you did like the card…  Again, I’ll try to make and post another this week…  ;)

   It’s Tiddly Tuesday Time!!!  You all know what that means?!?!  There’s a new challenge over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog…  This week, we have been challenged to use turquoise, orange, & yellow on a project using a Tiddly Inks image… 

   My card has a few other colors in it (like green & pink), but the main colors are turquoise, orange, and yellow…  I’ve been having a great need lately for thank you cards so I’ve created one using my feline friend, made by Christy…

The ribbon, buckle, and silver circle are supposed to resemble a cat collar…

I’m actually pretty surprised that the shadow turned out so good…
